Senior Property Accountant

— primary responsibility is handling and overseeing various accounting tasks and analysis for specified properties in the portfolio. You will perform balance sheet account reconciliation, prepare reports, conduct financial maintenance, initiate payments for debts incurred by the organization, and assist the Property Management Team with annual budgeting. Strong communication skills are expected to convey results to the company and to outside investors and owners. Responsibilities

Manage commercial real estate portfolio of approximately 20 properties. Complete monthly workpapers, including posting recurring, accrual, and other general ledger entries to reconcile balance sheet accounts for each property. Handle internal and external requests; research and respond to inquiries on properties from internal teams, banks, and other tenants. Process monthly tenant rent statements and reconcile accounts receivable for assigned properties, working with Property Management on delinquent accounts. Review coding and approve all accounts payable items at each property; commit items for payment based on available cash. Assist in the creation of annual budgets for each property, primarily entering fixed expenses such as debt, depreciation and leasing expenses. Collaborate with other departments and respond to leadership requests for information. Assist Controller with bank reconciliations and cash receipt functions. Answer questions from staff when issues arise; ensure best practices are utilized. Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting At least 5 years of property accounting experience preferred Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced capabilities in Excel What’s In It For YOU
