As Lead Sales Recruiter at OpenGov, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our high-growth sales organization. This isn’t just recruiting — it’s building the team that powers more effective and accountable government across the country. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers and executives, design smart strategies to bring in top-tier talent, and deliver a candidate experience that reflects our values. Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for roles across the Sales organization Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, team dynamics, and long-term talent needs. Drive full-cycle recruiting, including intake meetings, sourcing, candidate engagement, interview coordination, and offer negotiation. Build and maintain active and passive talent pipelines utilizing tools such as LinkedIn, Ashby, and other sourcing resources. Strategic Talent Acquisition

Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates across diverse functions. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Finance and HR business partners, to align staffing plans with organizational goals. Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor hiring practices to refine recruitment strategies. Mentorship And Leadership

Serve as a mentor and role model, providing guidance and support to less experienced recruiters, sourcers, and coordinators. Foster professional growth and development within the recruitment team through coaching and knowledge sharing. Assist in presenting and creating training materials related to recruitment best practices. Data And Insights

Leverage applicant tracking systems (e.g., Ashby) and recruitment tools to track metrics, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to hiring managers. Regularly present pipeline data, market conditions, and recruitment performance metrics to senior leadership. Ensure strong data hygiene by maintaining accurate, consistent, and up-to-date candidate and pipeline records across all systems to enable reliable reporting and insights. Candidate Experience

Ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience throughout all stages of the recruitment process. Conduct thorough phone screens and reference checks to assess candidate qualifications and cultural alignment. Act as a brand ambassador, promoting the organization’s values and employee value proposition to prospective candidates. Process Improvement

Contribute to the development and enhancement of hiring strategies and best practices to streamline recruitment processes. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce time-to-fill, and maintain high-quality hiring outcomes. Compliance And Adaptability

Ensure all recruitment practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of a high-growth SaaS environment. Required Qualifications

6+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in a high-growth SaaS or technology company. 2+ years of sales recruiting experience in a product based company. Strong experience with applicant tracking systems (e.g., Ashby, Greenhouse) and sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter. Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leadership. Expertise in building active and passive candidate pipelines. Excellent phone and video presence and ability to qualify senior talent effectively. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. The salary range for this position is $130k - $140k. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location. Why OpenGov?
