Location: Darien, IL area
Base pay range: $83,200.00/yr - $95,680.00/yr
Required: 3+ years in industrial electrical schematic design; Associate technical degree or equivalent certification; UL508A familiarity; NEC knowledge; valid driver's license; AutoCAD and MS Excel proficiency; experience with Allen Bradley IO, VFDs, and servo drives.

Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical control schematics, panels, and Bill of Materials in collaboration with customer project engineers and electrical controls engineers.
Structure Jobs, Releases, and Work Orders in an ERP system.
Verify schematics and panel layouts comply with NEC standards.
Audit designs and BOM to ensure compliance with UL508A and SCCR specifications.
Coordinate with Panel Fabricators to answer questions and resolve design issues.
Edit drawings from mark-ups to create final, complete drawing sets.
Develop drawings in AutoCAD using MSP standard template library.
Commit to completing projects on time and within budget.
Assist with field site audits, retrofit designs, or install supervision as needed.
Qualifications
Associate technical degree or equivalent certification.
3+ years in industrial electrical schematic design for 480VAC/3P systems with IO, motor starters, VFDs, and servo drives; device layout for panels with manufacturer spacing requirements; conduit and cable tray planning.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel.
Working knowledge of the Allen Bradley product catalog for IO, VFDs, etc.
UL508A certification.
Up-to-date NEC industrial requirements knowledge.
Ability to size branch circuits and loads for transformers and power supplies; analyze component documentation for proper load protection and integration.
A commitment to doing it right the first time.
Valid driver’s license.
Additional Preferred Skills/Abilities
Familiarity with 690VDC common bus drive systems.
Field site audit experience for retrofit designs or install supervision.
Hands-on experience with panel layouts and device wiring.
