Arcadis is currently seeking a highly motivated Power System Planning & Study Engineer to join our Power Delivery team. This is a technical position within the Power Delivery unit of Arcadis. The role involves coordinating and developing the Power System Planning & Study team, and performing HVAC and/or HVDC planning/feasibility studies, interconnection studies, transient studies and systems analysis investigations for clients in North America primarily, but also globally. The incumbent will work closely with other Power Delivery departments, including Substation Engineering, Transmission Engineering, Protection & Control Engineering, Renewables teams, and other Arcadis divisions on related system studies and power sector master plans. As part of the Power Delivery team, you will help improve quality of life. Role accountabilities

Support, develop, and deliver various complex power system study & planning projects within regulated, non-regulated, developer, or other industrial clients Perform and review power systems analysis activities including load-flow, short-circuit, transient stability, electromagnetic transient, small-signal stability analysis, system impact study, reliability analysis etc. Perform planning/system performance studies and transient studies for compliance with prevailing standards and criteria and good engineering practice. Delivery of accurate and thorough planning, studies, system design, report summary and other client system study deliverables that will meet industry standards and specifications and meet good engineering practice with excellent constructability. Responsible for QA on client reports and deliverables Maintaining close coordination and help other relevant Arcadis Business Units and Practices for cross selling and cross staffing opportunities. As well as develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals We are seeking an individual with a strong team player mindset and excellent communication skills to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate effectively with colleagues. Additionally, this position may involve travel of up to 25% to client sites and customer meetings, both within North America and potentially internationally. Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred Minimum 5 years of direct experience with experience in power system study analysis and planning Proficient with the PSSE software package, including load-flow, short-circuit and transient stability analysis. Experience with alternative planning software applications, including TARA, PSLF, DigSILENT, or DSA Tools, is highly desirable Familiar with key North American Market Operators policies, guidelines, regulations, rules, requirements and criteria as applicable to grid interconnection, performance and planning, especially related to bulk power systems Preferred Qualifications
