Responsibilities Perform and oversee civil engineering work focused on site design components such as site layout, yard piping, roadways, paving, grading, and stormwater infrastructure. Conduct and oversee conceptual and preliminary design activities, including site visits, fieldwork, alternatives analysis, and report preparation. Complete and review detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications for site civil aspects of treatment facility and infrastructure projects. Conduct stormwater hydraulic calculations and modeling, and incorporate findings into the site civil design. Develop, review, and coordinate permitting related to site development for treatment facilities and infrastructure projects. Assist with coordinating and performing quality reviews of subconsultant work. Prepare and review technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables. Review contractor submittals for conformance with contract drawings and specifications. Provide, coordinate, and oversee engineering services during construction. Serve as the lead civil engineer for large multidisciplinary projects and act as project manager on site/civil engineering projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in civil/site development, stormwater management, and permitting. Registration as a Professional Engineer in Florida. Strong critical thinking skills to develop options and recommendations for technical problems. Experience developing and overseeing working drawings for civil plans, including site layout, piping, grading, drainage, and paving, from sketches. Experience in planning and designing facility layouts and site projects. Knowledge of site development requirements and permitting, including environmental resource permits. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and teams. Ability to manage, oversee, and mentor junior civil engineers. Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in civil engineering or a related field. Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D for engineering drawings. Experience with GIS and stormwater hydrologic modeling software. Pay Range Salary will be based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, and organizational needs.
