What You'll Do

Contribute to multi-disciplinary projects focused on hydrologic, hydraulic, and scour design.

Build 1-D and 2-D hydraulic models to support project analysis and design.

Prepare and review environmental permit plans, design drawings, and technical reports.

Support project proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimates.

Attend meetings with clients, agencies, and stakeholders to align on project goals and resolve design/permitting issues.

Mentor junior staff, sharing both technical expertise and professional guidance.

Assist with task management, including schedules, deliverables, and financial performance.

What You'll Bring

BS in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering (or related discipline).

5-8+ years of professional experience in water resources engineering and analysis.

At least 2 years of CTDOT project experience preferred.

Strong background in:

Preparing/reviewing design plans, specifications, and reports

Hydrologic/hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, etc.)

Flood Management Permitting

Highway drainage analysis

Geomorphic evaluation and stream simulation design

Scour analysis and countermeasure design (preferred)

Experience in task management and mentoring.

EIT or PE license preferred.

Proficiency with MicroStation, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
