Civil Engineering Senior Project Manager/Principal
As a Civil Engineering Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll manage project teams to create land development plans for our commercial, institutional, public, industrial, and energy clients. This position will manage a variety of land development project types such as retail, residential, higher education, health care, industrial capital improvements, renewable energy, and public sector improvements such as roadway or utility rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will be experienced in preparing engineering plans for entitlement and construction, able to work with various regulatory agencies to gain project approval, and able to develop strong business relationships and meet client objectives. You'll take part in all parts of the consulting engineering process from managing projects, reviewing work products of others, quality control, client interfacing, proposal development, budgeting, and mentoring and supervising junior engineers. In managing junior engineers, you will review the critical components of civil plan development including site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management facilities, water quality best management practices, erosion and sediment control, and utilities. Potential sign-on and relocation bonus, if applicable. 15+ years experience working in the Land Development Sector; BS/MS in Civil Engineering; Professional Registration or ability to gain licensure; Ability to speak and write professionally; Experience preparing final engineering plans and specifications; Experience authoring engineering studies and preparing calculations; Experience preparing stormwater models and associated reports; Experience in preparing permit applications and obtaining project approvals; Experience participating in formal and informal public meetings, such as a City Council or Project Public Stakeholder meetings. Ability to develop and mentor staff; Ability to prepare proposals and manage project execution; Ability to interface with clients, network, and develop business. Experience in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Excel, Word, HEC-RAS and other computer modeling software a plus; Local connections with developers, architects, energy clients, or other land development arenas a plus.
