Overview Hematology/Oncology Advanced Practice Provider Inpatient Position: St. Michael Cancer Center, part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team. We provide high quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered care with a collegial team approach to decision making. We are looking for a well-trained, caring APP with inpatient experience in an adult medical specialty.
Responsibilities
8 hour shifts
Monday-Friday (flexibility if individual days off needed)
Covering new consultations to oncology from ER and hospitalists, and will be staffed with the oncology attending on call later that same day
Follow-up of existing oncology inpatients, and will be staffed with the oncology attending for that patient
Expected census of 10-15 patients for the service; responsibilities may be split with the attending if larger volumes
Salary Range: $125,000 - $159,516, based on experience
Job Requirements
Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Current Washington State ARNP or PA license or active license prior to starting
Prior experience with EPIC a plus, but not required
Ability to maintain positive working relationships with physicians, hospital staff, patients and their families
Excellent communication skills and professionalism
Strong commitment to patient care team concept and privacy guidelines
