The Opportunity Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through device and management solutions for the treatment of Structural Heart disease. We lead markets by delivering solutions that offer an improved benefit/risk profile vs. existing standards of care. This role supports the MitraClip team in the region. The Regional Sales Director must live in the geography of the region. Travel required: 50-75%. This position ensures the assigned region meets or exceeds sales and profitability objectives. The Regional Sales Director formulates sales strategies for markets within the region and product lines to attain revenue goals. The role manages and coaches sales representatives, clinical representatives, and other field personnel. They negotiate contracts with external customers and monitor market dynamics and competitive activity. What You’ll Do Recruits, coaches and develops organizational talent. Fosters a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential. Creates an entrepreneurial environment. Provides direction to exempt specialists and/or supervisory staff; may supervise non-exempt employees. Keeps the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making. Demonstrates effective change leadership. Builds strategic partnerships to further departmental and organizational objectives. Develops and executes organizational and operational policies affecting multiple groups. Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g., FDA, EEO regulations). Makes decisions regarding work processes and schedules to achieve department objectives. Develops, monitors and adjusts the annual budget for departments. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree. 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Ability to direct and monitor progress of exempt staff toward departmental goals; monitor costs and resources; monitor market share and profitability; monitor the external environment in the area of responsibility. Ability to work in a quality system environment; noncompliance with governmental regulations is possible if tasks are not performed adequately. Ability to develop new work processes and improve utilization of resources; facilitate continuous improvement; communicate a vision for the unit. Verification that you will satisfy all vendor credentialing requirements, which may include vaccination for COVID-19. If you require accommodations, advise HR. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree preferred. Prior experience with medical devices, especially interventional cardiology. Structural Heart experience is highly preferred.
