What You Will Do We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. This role involves leading a team to perform design and analysis of structural elements for various projects across industries such as manufacturing, distribution, data centers, commercial, historical, adaptive reuse, and renovations. The Senior Engineer will serve as a technical expert and mentor junior and mid-level staff. The growth path includes options for becoming a Specialist or pursuing a Leadership route.

Location This position is based in our Atlanta office, located in Dunwoody, GA, which supports employee growth and development and hosts company events.

Responsibilities

Interact with clients and attend meetings with architects and contractors, review structural documentation, and mentor junior staff.

Oversee design calculations, prepare construction documents, review shop drawings and submittals, conduct site reviews, and respond to RFIs.

Coordinate across disciplines to ensure deliverables meet client expectations and quality standards.

Perform QA/QC on team members' work.

Mentor and oversee engineering team members, supporting their professional development and training.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Master’s preferred.

Active Professional Engineer license.

Minimum of 15 years’ experience in structural engineering.

Proficiency with industry-standard software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP, Bentley RAM, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, Tekla, and Microsoft products.

Project management experience.

Design experience with various materials and systems, including steel, concrete, and masonry, in low to mid-rise structures.

Knowledge of Revit is preferred.

Client management experience is a plus.

Skills and Competencies

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and improve.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Leadership ability to train and mentor engineers.
