Job Overview GenScript seeks a detail-oriented, self-driven individual for the Engineering Equipment Department to support planning, design, construction, commissioning, validation, and process systems development at our Piscataway, NJ facilities. The position is initially for at least 2 years, with potential to transition to a facility manager post-project completion.
Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution:
Develop project plans, manage costs, oversee procurement, and contract management.
Project Management:
Handle technical, quality, safety, and timeline aspects; coordinate with contractors.
Commissioning and Validation:
Organize factory acceptance tests, commissioning, and validation activities.
Project Completion:
Lead final inspections, documentation reviews, and project handovers.
Reporting and Improvement:
Report progress, analyze lessons learned, and suggest process improvements.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical/Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
At least 5 years of biopharmaceutical project management and facility operations experience.
Experience managing construction projects from requirement gathering through to validation and final settlement.
Skills
Strong management, reporting, and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure.
Technical expertise in engineering principles.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera P6).
Knowledge of US building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
