Overview
Shift Supervisor (3rd Shift) - Automotive Manufacturing at Drake Enterprises, Inc.
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising shop employees in a manufacturing environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.
Responsibilities
Setting and clearly communicating Production Employees’ expectations for safety, quality, cleanliness & efficiencies. Ensure that production employees understand and meet all the expectations.
Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
Manage production employees’ training plans with Team Leaders.
Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas.
Manage departmental performance measures and provide regular updates to General Supervisor and Management Team.
Maintain proper inventory levels.
Manage department priorities.
Complete annual performance reviews.
Track absenteeism and timekeeping.
Serve as a backup CNC operator if needed.
Understand and implement Drake Driven Core Values into everyday work habits.
Qualifications
High school diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience in a precision machining environment
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Understanding of production procedures and Work Instructions
Knowledge of Quality Systems, gaging, and attention to detail
Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear, etc.)
