Overview As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will work directly with some of the world’s largest technology companies and other mission-critical clients. You will serve as a mechanical engineer on projects, perform design calculations, write technical reports, and prepare documents. Experience in the Data Center industry is preferred. You will coordinate with other Olsson teams, professional staff, technical staff, and clients. Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa area; travel to projects occasionally.
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical design, calculations, and documentation for projects, including data centers.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver solutions.
Prepare technical reports and documents; coordinate with internal team members.
Lead or participate in design reviews and project meetings.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
8 years of mechanical engineering experience
Revit experience required
HVAC design experience required
Data Center experience preferred
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
Strong communication and team collaboration skills
Self-starter with ability to handle multiple tasks to serve client needs
Investigation and troubleshooting skills
