AECOM Hunt . AECOM Hunt is seeking a highly seasoned and experienced General Construction Superintendent for our project in Chicago, IL. Responsibilities

Accountable and overall responsibility for on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects. Leads, directs and manages the entire direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or a multi-discipline construction project. Primary liaison with client for day-to-day activities and long-term operations. Communicates and directs through other superintendents changes or modification of jobsite activities within assigned area of operations. Accountable for compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards. Primary interface and engagement with Project Executive and manager group to coordinate efforts. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field and 10 years of experience in construction management or AA/AS and 12 years of relevant experience or HS/GED and 14 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Valid Driver’s License to operate an AECOM provided motor vehicle on construction project site(s) to support project tasks assignments and scope of work. Preferred Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field and demonstrated experience in construction management, working in a General Superintendent role with a proven track record of successfully completing large-scale projects. Experience in Chicago-based construction projects, such as engagement in public infrastructure construction, building and construction codes, building and construction trades, etc. Strong leadership and team management skills. Aviation or mega-construction project experience on projects in excess of 2 MM. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficient in project management software and tools. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Experience in: Airport/Aviation; Convention Center; Sports/Stadium; Datacenter; Knowledge/experience in MEP/FP, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Commissioning, Systems. Work Environment & Physical Demands

Physical demands typical of construction roles: climbing ladders and stairs, using lifts, moving through active construction zones; vision, dexterity, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work on active job sites with exposure to hazards, heavy machinery, variable weather, PPE requirements, and safety-focused duties. Additional Information

This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future. Relocation assistance may be available for this position. Pre-employment substance abuse test and background checks may apply; motor vehicle records reviewed for driving responsibilities; client security screening and fingerprinting may be required after employment and are conditions of continued employment. Offered compensation will be based on location and qualifications. The expected range is $130,000.00 - $200,000.00. About AECOM
