Position Overview The
Mobile Diesel Technician Level II
is responsible for performing licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, diagnostics, and other duties. This role involves performing more advanced diagnostics and repairs under supervision, continuing to develop mechanical and diagnostic skills, and complying with all company policies and performance metrics.
Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on various vehicles in a mobile environment.
Diagnose and repair truck equipment, including electrical, brake, cooling systems, engines, transmissions, and more.
Test and inspect equipment, road test vehicles, and accurately document all work performed using company tools and systems.
Manage parts inventory, maintain safety standards, and communicate effectively with clients and management.
Work independently, prioritize tasks, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of related experience or equivalent certifications and experience.
Possession of necessary hand tools and ability to obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
Valid driver’s license, ability to pass DOT physical and background checks, and be at least 21 years old.
