Nurse Practitioner
to support clinical services including ultrasound monitoring, IUI, patient education, and cycle coordination.
Responsibilities
Ultrasound & Procedure Support: Perform transvaginal ultrasounds for follicle monitoring and pregnancy confirmation when physicians are not on-site.
Ultrasound & Procedure Support: Identify patients ready for RE (Reproductive Endocrinology) cycles and direct them to appropriate ICI/IUI scheduling.
Ultrasound & Procedure Support: Conduct sperm preparation and perform intrauterine inseminations (IUIs) using partner or fresh semen in adherence to clinical protocol and time-out procedures.
Patient Education & Support: Teach patients how to self-administer fertility injections and understand medication protocols.
Patient Education & Support: Explain treatment options and planned cycle steps in a clear, compassionate manner.
Patient Education & Support: Provide ongoing support, anticipatory guidance, and emotional counseling throughout treatment.
Patient Education & Support: Communicate pregnancy test results and next steps with empathy and clarity.
Cycle Coordination & Case Management: Conduct new patient consults and initiate personalized plans of care.
Cycle Coordination & Case Management: Schedule diagnostic tests, order medications, and maintain up-to-date treatment plans under physician direction.
Cycle Coordination & Case Management: Coordinate timelines, ensure completion of checklists, and track progress using internal systems.
Clinical & Administrative Duties: Document all patient interactions and clinical procedures in EMR.
Clinical & Administrative Duties: Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, interpret lab results, obtain vital signs, and secure informed consent.
Clinical & Administrative Duties: Ensure a clean, safe clinical environment in compliance with OSHA and infection control protocols.
Clinical & Administrative Duties: Answer patient inquiries and calls related to lab values, semen analysis, and treatment updates.
Qualifications
Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification with the state of New York is required.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in women’s health or OB/GYN; experience in IVF/fertility is strongly preferred.
Excellent communication, listening, and counseling skills.
Strong clinical judgment with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Athena and RESOURCE, along with basic office technology.
Availability to work weekends and select holidays as needed.
