Staffer (Retail Sales Associate) (Level 1) – Bike Sales role at Sports Basement. Reports to: Lead, Manager, Sr. Manager, Assistant General Manager, and General Manager. Compensation: $19.50–$22.00 per hour, non-exempt. Starting wages depend on location and experience. What We Are

Apply core values, policies, procedures, and safety measures; demonstrate the SB value “OK is not OK” in all aspects of your role. Provide WOW customer service in your department/zone by engaging with customers, uncovering needs, making product recommendations, and using SB tools. Stay updated on product knowledge through SB/vendor training and practice. Collaborate with team members on merchandising, markdowns, signage, and assist in other zones as needed. Work with lead and management to understand business goals; maintain effective communication with teammates. Ensure signage and displays are accurate, enticing, and informative; adapt to store needs as they arise. Staff Experience
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for customers and staff. Prioritize and execute daily tasks and projects to meet goals; work independently or as a team. Qualifications
Retail or industry experience preferred but not required. Knowledge of gear in the assigned department/zone; working knowledge of POS systems preferred but not required. Ability to create a WOW experience for every customer; strong verbal and written communication. Attention to detail; basic computer skills; flexibility and adaptability as duties may change. Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds, bend, and stand for extended periods. Available to work during operating hours including most weekdays, weekends, and holidays (excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas). Familiarity with company tools (e.g., Google Docs, Shopify, POS, Winterstieger, Sales Saver, Lightspeed, Fiori) is helpful; training available.
