The Assistant Vice President of Oncology is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic planning, operational oversight, and administrative management of Oncology Services across St. Joseph's Health. The AVP works collaboratively with clinical, operational, and high-quality, patient-centered cancer care that is aligned with the organization’s mission, goals and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and practices acquired through completion of a master’s degree in healthcare administration, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field required. Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in Oncology Services or hospital operations. RN license preferred. Certification in Oncology, healthcare management, or project management a plus (e.g. OCN, FACHE, PMP).

Excellent understanding of healthcare delivery models, service line development, and operational workflows. Requires strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to manage multidisciplinary teams and drive strategic initiatives. Analytical ability is required to interpret data, solve complex problems, and support performance improvement efforts.

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.” The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.

St. Joseph’s University Medical Center
