Will
We are seeking a full-time
Child Abuse Pediatrician
to join the Dorothy B. Hersh Child Protection Center.
The Dorothy B. Hersh Child Protection Center offers a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals, including certified child abuse pediatricians, nurses, psychologists and social workers, and provides help to children and their families in the evaluation and treatment of physical and emotional injuries caused by child abuse and neglect.
As a state-designated child protection center, Saint Peter's Dorothy B. Hersh Child Protection Center (CPC) serves seven counties in central New Jersey. The Child Protection Center provides crisis intervention, child abuse assessments and referrals to community resources.
Opportunity Highlights
Provide outpatient, inpatient, and emergency department consults for suspected abuse and neglect
Minimal after-hours phone call coverage
Strong support by leadership and administration
Responsibilities will include in-person court testimony, depositions, and hearings
Receive the time and the support needed to provide patient and family centric medical evaluations and care
Full benefits package with up to 44 days off per year and a 5% 401(k) match

Requirements
A Medical degree and the successful completion of an ACGME or AOA fellowship in Child Abuse Pediatrics
MD or DO licensed in the State of New Jersey
Board-Certified in Child Abuse Pediatrics
Must qualify for Saint Peter's University Hospital liability insurance
CDS and DEA license required
Spanish speaking a plus

Full-time compensation at Saint Peter's Healthcare System ranges from $175,000 to $750,000, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, years of experience, academic and administrative appointment, and pre-established metrics on productivity/patient engagement/quality.
