Account Director Job Purpose

To manage the day-to-day client relationships and growth on assigned account(s), and directly oversee all project execution to ensure alignment with client objectives and brand strategies within approved scope, budget, and timing. Responsibilities

Account Management

Maintains ongoing positive client relationship, anticipates client needs, and represents the agency on day-to-day client activities. Provides client insights and tactical recommendations aligned with brand strategies, activities, and market trends. Conducts regular client status meetings to review work in progress and upcoming needs. Supports client compliance and regulatory governance and adheres to guidelines; drives best practices to improve processes/workflow. Prepares proposals, project briefs, and concept documents to ensure alignment among client, Evolution, and regulatory requirements. Understands brand strategy and communicates client expectations and insights to the internal team during project development. Collaborates with senior medical lead on brand tactics, content, and strategic planning. Reviews work in development for quality and consistency with brand strategy and program objectives. Liaises with client stakeholders, KOLs, and client agency partners; collaborates with or leads interactions. Supports organic growth. Agency Stewardship

Leads the execution team, maintains morale, and resolves queries and conflicts promptly. Meets regularly with the VP, Account Services on account status, client relationships, project financials, and personnel progress; flags need for strategic support. Monitors client/agency work experience for continuous improvement; leads and drives agency processes among the account team. Coordinates with all agency departments to communicate account status, brand activities, and marketing information for effective content development and workflow. Ensures projects are developed, routed, and submitted per agency policies and client processes. Serves as a team leader to mentor direct reports and account team members. Works with the VP, Account Services to manage and prioritize workflow within the assigned account and team. Plans for high-volume periods and maintains appropriate work prioritization. Supports onboarding and training of the account services team. Understands AMA, OIG, and PhRMA guidelines related to promotional and educational programming. Executes administrative responsibilities with detailed and timely updates. Organic Growth/Business Development

Understands Evolution core products and services and identifies opportunities for expanding work on assigned accounts. Participates in brainstorming to grow Evolution programs and services. Identifies opportunities for growth and develops proposals/SOWs for client consideration. Participates in weekly new business planning and communicates pipeline status to the internal team. Defines project scope, budgets, and tracks change orders with clients and internal stakeholders. Maintains accurate financials and billings, updates clients and supervisors on financial status, and flags out-of-scope work. Prepares budget amendments and gains client approval. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and 6-8 years of medical communications agency experience. Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills with strong understanding of brand strategy and growth opportunities. Effective leadership in account direction and cross-functional team management. 3+ years’ management experience; ability to coach and develop talent and drive change. Intermediate Excel, Word, and Outlook; advanced PowerPoint proficiency. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; articulate and engaging. Experience as an Account Supervisor or leading strategic marketing plans; product launch experience is a plus. Experience across a diverse range of accounts and therapeutic categories is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-driven environment with professionalism. Willingness to travel for programs and client locations as required. Seniority level
