Solar Project Manager at Capitol Valley Electric. Capitol Valley Electric is a nationally recognized electrical contractor with a corporate office in Sacramento, California. We work on a wide array of projects including Multi Family, Commercial, Industrial and Utility Scale Solar farms. We are currently looking to hire a Construction Project Manager for our Utility Scale Solar Projects. The Solar Project Manager will oversee Renewable Energy projects from commencement to completion and will manage projects to exceed customer expectations, deliver on time and within budget, and ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Responsibilities

Creates and manages the projects budget. Knows and understands the owners contract requirements, including development of contract requirements, bonds, fees, schedules and costs. Develops and completes monthly projected final cost and labor cost reports. Pre-construction responsibilities. Procures subcontractors based on predefined requirements to manage through completion of construction. Collaborates with the pre-construction team to prepare, review and monitor information and reports related to all costs involved in developing the project budget. Manages subcontractor relationships, including initial scope and proposal review and developing final proposals based on agreed scope of work. Develops plans to comply with Minority Business Entity requirements for the project, as required. Collaborates with developers, subcontractors, municipal entities, equipment suppliers and site-specific construction suppliers to develop a timeline for delivery and completion of milestones prior to project start-up. Project Mobilization and Construction: schedules site security/amenities, subcontractors, equipment delivery, utility interconnections and services in accordance with the construction schedule; conducts preconstruction meetings; reviews and implements OSHA-approved site safety plans; conducts daily site safety meetings; schedules and oversees inspections by AHJ and utility; coordinates and delivers requirements for subcontractors and suppliers to meet schedules. Project Administration and Close-Out: manages project administration and daily operations; prepares and maintains project schedules, milestone dates, commissioning and close-out checklists; handles close-out documentation to the customer at project completion; maintains relationships with suppliers and key personnel to ensure materials, tools, equipment and personnel are delivered as needed; ensures a safe and respectful working environment through safety programs, loss prevention, risk management, training and quality control. Qualifications

Four-year degree in engineering, construction management or related field from an accredited school, or equivalent combination of education, technical training and/or experience in electrical contracting or a similar industry. Minimum of 8 years of Project Management experience in the renewable energy industry. Ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of electrical theory, National Electric Code, and California Building and Electrical Codes. Ability to independently price change orders and coordinate with project schedules. Strong understanding of company objectives influencing project management strategies and techniques. Thorough understanding of electrical construction, contracts and terminology. Ability to handle multiple situations and problems and work toward cooperative resolutions. Deep knowledge of major equipment such as transformers, inverters, switchgear, and related solar components. Thorough understanding of medium to large-scale solar systems (1 MW to 50 MW). Understanding of major equipment such as transformers, substations, energy storage systems, packaged power systems, inverter configurations, solar modules (monocrystalline, Bi-Facial N & P type). Understanding of SCADA, feeder lines, underground reticulations and power banks. Understanding principals of solar farms from initial plant design to commissioning. Excellent organizational and decision-making/problem-solving skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. Proficiency in software and computer programs; Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Software programs such as Procore, Helioscope, PVsyst. Benefits
