Senior SWE - Network Infrastructure - Innovative Global Technology Leader
Software Engineer – Distributed Systems & Networking
About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer who thrives at the intersection of large-scale systems, networking, and security. This is not a traditional network or cybersecurity role—at the core, you are first and foremost an elite software engineer who excels at writing clean, efficient, and scalable code while bringing deep expertise in networking infrastructure and Kubernetes. You’ll be working on mission-critical systems where reliability, scale, and performance are non-negotiable. This role is ideal for engineers who want to take complete ownership of projects from design to deployment, solving complex technical challenges that touch millions of users and services.
What You’ll Do
Design and implement large-scale systems in Java, Golang, or Python, with Golang experience being highly valued.
Develop and optimize networking APIs and distributed infrastructure that power critical services.
Architect and manage highly available Kubernetes environments, with a focus on networking, scalability, and reliability.
Apply a security-first mindset in every layer of design and implementation.
Drive projects end-to-end: from ideation and coding through testing, deployment, and scaling.
Collaborate across teams to deliver solutions that meet business goals while tackling complex engineering trade-offs.
Continuously improve performance, efficiency, and reliability of core services in production.
Who You Are
3–8 years of professional engineering experience, ideally landing in the mid-range of that spectrum.
Holds a B.S. in Computer Science (U.S. institution preferred) or brings an exceptional background that compensates with proven expertise.
Proven ability as an exceptional coder in Java, Golang, or Python, with strong debugging and system design skills.
Deep understanding of networking infrastructure and APIs, and how they integrate with distributed systems.
Recognized as a Kubernetes expert—able to design, deploy, and maintain large-scale systems with confidence.
Experience with security-conscious engineering, incorporating best practices into every stage of development.
Strong communicator with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven ownership of projects—taking initiatives from inception through delivery at scale, solving challenging problems along the way.
Builder mentality: more focused on creation and innovation than operational maintenance.
How You’ll Be Evaluated
Level of ownership over past projects and systems.
Experience working at large scale, with complex services and distributed environments.
Ability to design, build, and deploy projects end-to-end.
Depth of problem-solving skills and how you approach technical challenges.
Balance of time spent coding and building versus operational or DevOps tasks.
Familiarity with service meshes, CNCF technologies, and modern networking stacks (e.g., Envoy, Cilium, Zero Trust security models).
Ideal Background Candidates from large-scale, engineering-driven organizations are strongly encouraged to apply, including those with experience at FAANG-level companies, top open-source technology firms, or major platform companies working on service mesh and networking infrastructure.
Compensation Compensation is highly competitive, structured as base + equity + sign-on, and adjusted annually based on performance. While base salaries generally max around $200K+, total compensation packages can reach up to $450K depending on experience, background, and interview performance. Candidates should expect compensation flexibility that rivals leading tech firms.
If you are an engineer who thrives on solving hard problems, writing production-quality code, and building systems that operate at massive scale, this role will give you the platform to make a significant impact.
