3x / wk An ongoing opportunity at a hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, for a Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide locum coverage. About the Opening: Schedule: 3 shifts per week, Monday-Friday Shift Details: 12-hour days or nights No call requirements Setting: Cardiac ICU EMR: Epic Board certification required Paid travel & lodging This opportunity offers the chance to practice in a dynamic environment while enjoying the city's rich culture, entertainment, and dining. Qualifications Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) National Institutes of Health (NIH) Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Active unencumbered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Missouri state license Graduate from a fully accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Two years of work experience as a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner One year of EMR experience Board Certified SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
