Responsibilities
Supervises staff involved in routine research study coordination. Oversees staff in execution of assignments; trains and mentors staff to improve quality and quantity of work. Plan, coordinate, and manage clinical trials including protocol management: screening for eligibility, enrollment and maintenance of subjects, data collection and analysis, biospecimen collection and processing, ensuring protocol compliance, adverse event reports, monitoring treatments and toxicities, laboratory and specimen submission, and maintenance of accurate clinical research files. Create informational and recruitment materials; liaise with UCSD departments and agencies for study implementation. Manage human subjects submissions, renewals, and safety reports. Communicate with physicians and disease groups; attend regular meetings (including monthly Center operations meetings). Assist PIs with proposals, progress reports and manuscripts. Independently create original documents and policies for assigned disease teams. Work with sponsors and regulatory officials. Oversee recruitment and training of new personnel (full-time, paid/volunteer undergraduate researchers). Support Project Manager with reviewing university research account statements and invoicing. Minimum Qualifications
Seven (7) years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related area plus three (3) years of relevant experience. Clinical Trial Professional certification from a professional society within one year in position. Working knowledge of clinical or laboratory research, clinical trial recruitment, eligibility, protocol adherence, data submission and adverse event reporting. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; adaptable to changing priorities. Demonstrated skills in employee supervision and HR administration; experience in training others in research. Critical thinking to evaluate issues and identify solutions. Clear and concise communication skills; strong verbal and written communication. Strong interpersonal skills, including problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, mentorship; ability to cultivate relationships with stakeholders at various levels. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and clinical trial management systems. Preferred Qualifications

Annual Full Pay Range: $88,000 - $161,600 (prorated if appointment percentage
Vaccination and Certifications
