The Marketing team provides strategic support in pursuit of new opportunities and the development of marketing materials. The team leverages market trends and client needs to highlight the firm’s expertise for prospective clients. Position Summary
The
Proposal Manager
leads the pursuit process and produces on-time, brand-standard-compliant deliverables (statements of qualification, RFP responses, and interview materials) from RFP receipt through interview completion. The Proposal Manager will lead and produce their own pursuits while coordinating the production of supporting content. What you will do
Manage multiple concurrent pursuits to on-time, compliant delivery with minimal oversight. Inspire a multi-disciplinary pursuit team (designers, project managers, client leaders, and creative services) to leverage business development intelligence, develop a persuasive win theme, and deliver client-focused content. Synthesize complex information into compelling written responses; edit content to match brand voice and professional style. Coach project team on presentation best practices to support wins in interviews. Support short-list and win-rate goals with a strong conversion strategy and execution. Identify RAM activities and maintain strong process management to support ROI and BD framework. Record project and people information in the firm’s database (Vantagepoint) to preserve institutional knowledge. Develop and leverage knowledge resources (industry research, BD intelligence, firm capabilities, market sector expertise) to inform win strategies and increase winning likelihood. Champion DLR Group as a best-in-class brand by performing comprehensive quality control on materials. Collaborate with pursuit teams to maintain an up-to-date library of on-brand materials (resumes, project plates, boilerplate information) and coordinate with graphic design for on-brand visuals that support defined win themes. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field. 5+ years of experience creating, writing, and editing proposals in a professional services environment, preferably in the AEC industry. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign) and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Teams); familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint is preferred. Eligibility to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship. Preferred Experience and Skills
Experience leading pursuit processes to win work with private sector clients (e.g., Fortune 500, hotel brands, commercial real estate developers). Experience leading SF330s and RFQ/P responses for government and public entities. Ability to manage multiple deadlines with a sense of urgency; strong attention to detail and brand/differentiator alignment. Critical thinking and the ability to propose responsive, value-added solutions. Strong project and people management skills, with the ability to build consensus and engage senior stakeholders effectively.
