Genitourinary Reconstruction Urologist Position
The Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care at The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School, in conjunction with Dell Seton Medical Center, is recruiting a Urologist with fellowship training in Genito-Urinary Reconstruction to join as an Assistant, Associate or full Professor. We seek individuals with excellent clinical skills, a passion for education, potential for scholarly contributions, and commitment to excellence. The faculty member will be an integral part of the rapidly expanding urology practice. The current urologic service includes specialists in minimally invasive surgery, endourology, and oncologists. There is an opportunity to maintain and expand the genitourinary reconstruction practice and to serve a primary practice for uninsured and under-insured patients in Travis County, with referrals from local and regional colleagues. Dell Seton Medical Center houses collaboration with plastic, colorectal, and gynecologic surgeons in care of genitourinary reconstruction needs. Essential Functions
Serve as a clinical content expert on genitourinary reconstruction for Dell Medical School and Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas. Evolve and expand the genitourinary reconstruction program within Dell Medical School's Health Transformation Building and other sites of service. Assist in the training and management of a new clinical team. Participate in strategic planning and other efforts directly tied to development and growth of the genitourinary reconstruction practice. Assist in creating a data and evaluation infrastructure for regularly assessing clinical quality and cost outcomes for patients with genitourinary reconstruction needs. Develop partnerships with referring physicians, hospitals, and ancillary providers in Austin and Central Texas. Train and mentor medical students and residents on new models of care and clinical practice. Participate in the development and implementation of Undergraduate and Graduate Medical Education curricula related to evaluation and management of genitourinary reconstruction. Develop and foster an atmosphere of scientific and academic inquiry with trainees and researchers within the multidisciplinary team. Collaborate with other schools at The University of Texas at Austin on multidisciplinary, value-based care models. Actively participate in the academic department by all required departmental policies. Marginal/Incidental Functions

Required: Medical degree from an accredited medical school Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas (or the ability to obtain prior to appointment) Current Board certification by the American Board of Urology, or eligible for certification by having passed the Qualifying Examination Fellowship training in genitourinary reconstruction Eligible for appointment as an Assistant, Associate or full Professor rank in the Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin Application Instructions
