Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with TikTok’s user product vision and business objectives. Ensure all messaging is cohesive, strategically aligned, and effectively conveys our core values and product goals. Work cross-functionally with regional and global communications teams to drive clear narratives about our user products and platform benefits. Partner closely with teams across Product, E-Commerce, Public Policy, Creator, and Legal to craft and refine messaging that supports TikTok’s product storytelling. Foster collaboration to ensure consistency in communication across various platforms and channels. Lead the development of media strategies that resonate with diverse audiences. Prioritize tactics that showcase TikTok’s product innovations, discovery opportunities, and cultural impact. Scale messaging and toolkits across global audiences. Serve as a key point of contact for media inquiries related to TikTok’s user products. Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and aligned communication with the media, emphasizing TikTok’s strategic direction and product offerings. Conduct continuous analyses of market trends, cultural shifts, and the industry landscape to identify opportunities and anticipate challenges. Utilize these insights to adapt and refine communication strategies, ensuring TikTok remains responsive to market changes.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 3+ years of professional experience in tech, safety or policy environments. Passion for product storytelling, complemented by strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills. A solid capacity to both think and do. Availability to work in a hybrid model, both in-person and remotely. Preferred Qualifications Experience in leading campaigns and events, developing assets, data storytelling, media relations, and issue handling. Exceptional listening, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills. A strong bias-to-action, adept and agile, with the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. Experience in day-to-day media relations and/or agency background. Experience with social media or search platforms is a plus. Previous experience working with global companies is a plus.

For Pay Transparency
Compensation Description (Annually) The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $111,467 - $200,556 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure). The Company reserves the right to modify or change these benefits programs at any time, with or without notice.
