Job Details Location: Brooklyn, NY
Schedule: 4/10 hour shifts; Monday–Friday (between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM)

Travel: Travel to NYCBS Brooklyn locations for patient care needs
In This Role, You Will
Administer radioactive chemical compounds for imaging procedures.
Perform patient imaging using sophisticated radiation-detecting equipment.
Process and enhance images using advanced computer systems.
Provide images, data analysis, and patient information to physicians for diagnostic interpretation.
Monitor patients\' conditions and reactions during scans, reporting any abnormalities to physicians.
Perform complex PET exams and consult radiologists for appropriate scan procedures.
Build patient confidence by obtaining medical history, explaining procedures, and addressing questions.
Monitor patients\' physical conditions during procedures and note any comments relevant to the diagnostic process.
Maintain safety measures to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure.
Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot radiologic equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Maintain ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
Optimize imaging protocols to achieve diagnostic-quality images while minimizing dose.
Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure regulatory and departmental policy compliance.
Travel to NYCBS Brooklyn locations for patient care needs.
Qualifications
Diploma from a Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) program (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Active certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB and/or ARRT-N).
Additional certifications: NMTCB(CT) and/or ARRT(CT).
Active New York State License.
At least 2 years of experience in the field.
Ability to travel to NYCBS locations as assigned.
