Account Executive

responsible for aggressively driving growth by acquiring new logo retail partners for MoneyGram within an assigned territory. This position is laser-focused on expanding MoneyGram’s footprint in the global payments, fintech, and remittance space by onboarding high-potential agents that serve key send and receive customer segments. The AE will own the full sales cycle from prospecting to activation, with a goal of accelerating network expansion and driving incremental transaction volume. Responsibilities

New Logo Acquisition

– Actively identify, target, and sign new retail partners in strategic locations to grow MoneyGram’s network in the remittance, money transfer, and cross-border payments market. Full Cycle Sales Execution

– Own the process from lead generation through needs assessment, solution presentation, pricing/contract negotiation, and partner activation. Fintech & Remittance Market Targeting

– Leverage knowledge of remittance corridors, competitive agent landscape, and underserved communities to prioritize high-yield acquisition opportunities. Strategic Prospecting

– Utilize data, market mapping, and industry insights to maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects. Conduct a minimum of 35 in-person prospect visits per week. Partner Activation & Ramp-Up

– Ensure seamless onboarding, POS installation, compliance training, and go-live to drive early revenue growth in the first 90 days. Brand & Value Proposition Promotion

– Position MoneyGram as a trusted fintech leader, highlighting speed, reliability, compliance strength, and digital capabilities alongside retail offerings. Territory Intelligence

– Monitor market dynamics, competitor moves, and emerging fintech trends to refine acquisition strategy and stay ahead of market shifts. Regulatory & Compliance Alignment

– Ensure all partner acquisition activities comply with financial services regulations and MoneyGram’s operational standards. Reporting & Metrics

– Maintain accurate records in CRM, track sales performance, and deliver timely reporting on acquisition, activation, and early revenue results. Qualifications

Education

BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience. Experience

3+ years in new business development, field sales, or partnership acquisition in fintech, payments, or remittances. Proven track record of new logo acquisition and exceeding growth targets. Experience selling in multicultural and multilingual markets. Bilingual – strongly preferred. Deep understanding of the global remittance and money transfer industry, including key send/receive corridors, customer demographics, and competitive landscape. Strong hunter mentality with exceptional prospecting, networking, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced acquisition pipeline while maintaining quality partner engagements. Commercial acumen to position MoneyGram solutions for maximum partner profitability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred). Ability to travel extensively (80%+) within territory. Must have a reliable personal vehicle. About MoneyGram
