Overview
The Assistant Global Sourcing Manager will support the Global Sourcing Manager to execute private brand sourcing strategies and meet financial goals for assigned product categories.
Responsibilities
Support the Global Sourcing Manager to implement Private Brand Sourcing strategies to achieve company and category objectives.
Support private label growth through collaboration with internal and external partners.
Collect data and conduct analysis for projects including RFPs, category/classification, and vendor analysis to support sourcing operations.
Monitor sample approval process and alert partners if delays or issues arise.
Support cost negotiation.
Communicate shortages and delivery issues to merchants and inventory teams when needed.
Review QC issues with cross-functional teams and advise vendors on outcomes.
Manage vendor setup paperwork and item setup with cross-functional partners to ensure timely execution.
Serve as a key liaison for day-to-day global sourcing operations with overseas offices and vendors.
Organize cross-functional meetings and provide information preparation and analysis (e.g., transition meetings, vendor matrix reviews, vendor visits).
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Experience
2+ years of experience with a major retailer, brand, or product development/sourcing company in a sourcing, production, buying, or product development role
Other Qualifications
Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
Ability to multitask and shift priorities
Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail
Strong analytical skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment
