We have an opportunity for a Senior Accountant. We are looking for a team-oriented, results driven professional with a strong sense of ownership and process improvement. The role has a diverse range of influence that includes functional financial responsibility within the North America headquarters for accounting and financial reporting. Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead our general ledger team and maintain the General Ledger including reporting account mappings. Essential Functions: Be the general ledger team lead which includes financial reporting, journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis. Maintain the General Ledger including reporting account mappings. Assist leadership in headquarter reporting reviews and submissions. Lead internal controls program. Automating and streamlining the financial processes. Assisting with the budgeting process, and with the internal and external audits. Posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals Responding to information requests and reviewing financial statements Maintaining/upgrading the accounting modules and improving the integration of the ERP system. Assist with preparing monthly metrics for executive team. Provide leadership and foster career and goal development for certain members of the accounting department. Ensure that all the company's financial practices, policies, and records are in compliance with corporate policies and statutory regulations and legislation, including Sarbanes-Oxley. Prepare financial reports and analysis. Month-end/year-end closing process. Assist with internal and external audits. Assist with company Treasury functions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited college or university; CPA a plus. Familiarity with ERP software systems such as Oracle or SAP. Minimum of 3 yrs of general accounting experience.
