The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting medical professionals during endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort while maintaining high standards of care. This position requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, as well as proficiency in aseptic techniques. Qualifications
Charting: Epic Certifications: BLS Years of Experience: 1 year(s) Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology is essential. Familiarity with medical terminology related to endoscopy procedures. Experience or training in diagnostic evaluation techniques is preferred. Proficiency in aseptic technique to prevent infection during procedures. Ability to operate medical imaging equipment is a plus. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Certification or relevant training in endoscopy technology is highly desirable. Equipment: Dilators, Electrosurgical units, Endoscopes, Forceps, Polyp snares Procedural Assistance: Procedure set up Cleaning and Care of scopes and instruments Respiratory/Imaging: Bronchoscopes, Colonoscopes, EGD scopes, Endobronchial Ultrasound Scopes (EBUS), Endoscopic Ultrasound Scopes (EUS), ERCP Scopes, Fiber Optics, Flex Sigmoidoscopes, High-Level Disinfection (HLD) Room Turnover: Closing of room at end of day, Instrument processing and cleaning, Restocking room supplies Specimen Handling: Gastric brushing, Pathology specimens, Frozen Sections Procedures: Colonoscopy, Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) Professional Topics and Skills: Infection control, Sterilization/Disinfection, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure Details
