Litigation Attorney - Mass Torts & Consumer Class Action
We are currently seeking a skilled attorney to join our Litigation Department in the Newark, NJ office. This role calls for a dynamic legal professional with significant experience in products liability, mass torts, and consumer class actions, particularly within pharmaceuticals or medical devices. As a valued member of a prominent Am Law 150 firm, you will handle complex cases, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and a passion for justice. This role requires a proactive lawyer who is adept at navigating sophisticated legal environments. Salary:
$275,000.00 - $500,000.00 per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategically managing significant caseloads from inception through trial Attending court hearings, arguing motions, and strategizing appeals Conducting and defending depositions and participating in mediations Analyzing and organizing large volumes of complex documents pertaining to litigation cases Liaising with experts and other professionals to gather and coordinate case evidence Preparing meticulous reports and presentations for trials, hearings, and client meetings Minimum Position Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school Admitted to the NJ Bar and in good standing 3-6 years of substantive law firm experience in litigation Proven experience in managing complex litigation cases Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skills Superior academic record and writing abilities Preferred Qualifications
Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device litigation, or mass tort litigation Demonstrated ability in large-scale multi-jurisdictional litigation Strong strategic thinking and legal acumen Experience in consumer class action lawsuits Proven track record of working independently and as part of a team Commitment to adhering to client confidentiality agreements and ethical law practice Skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Detailed-oriented with an analytical mindset Strong litigation and negotiation skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Proficient in legal research software and tools Capable of mentoring junior attorneys and support staff Benefits
