BTGB is currently seeking dynamic and talented college and graduate students with a passion for urban education to facilitate programming during our Super Saturdays. Teaching Fellows will be responsible for delivering academic and enrichment content in a structured and supportive school setting consisting of 8-15 middle school or high school students. Teaching Fellows receive training, professional development, and ongoing coaching and support from Breakthrough Greater Boston program staff. Teaching Fellows also support students academically, electives, and other community spaces.
Our Super Saturday Events are designed for students to connect with the Breakthrough community, receive support and mentorship with schoolwork, and gain exposure to exciting, rigorous content.
Responsibilities
Deliver academic and enrichment content in a structured and supportive school setting consisting of 8-15 middle school or high school students.
Receive training, professional development, and ongoing coaching and support from Breakthrough Greater Boston program staff.
Support students academically, electives, and other community spaces.
Lead and support a variety of academic workshops including topics such as food science, sports medicine, social entrepreneurship, and design challenges; lead electives based on student interest (middle school).
Lead HS readiness, career, and college focused workshops (high school).
