As part of the continued growth and innovation of our Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Advisory services, ERM has an opportunity for an experienced leader to join our global consulting firm as a Director/Partner and become a true owner and shareholder in a business with Sustainability at its heart. Candidates will ideally be located proximate to major markets including New York, NY; Boston, MA; Houston, TX; Washington, DC; Chicago, IL; or San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities
Primary focus on client development, sales, and delivery of the full spectrum of ERM’s consulting services to deliver strategic value to our clients, with a key role in growing ERM’s EHS and Sustainability M&A Advisory business.
Develop commercial strategies to pursue and win new business opportunities aligned with ERM’s global strategy.
Provide business value selling at the top levels of client organizations to identify and shape needs for ERM services; develop new client relationships and expand existing ones.
Lead complex due diligence engagements involving multi-site portfolios and multi-person project teams; address transaction-driven environmental issues including EHS compliance, remediation, and liability cost estimating.
Lead and mentor a high-performance team; identify and develop emerging talent; ensure rising stars are nurtured and given new areas of responsibility.
Support the growth and development of ERM’s global EHS and Sustainability M&A solutions; drive innovation to differentiate ERM in the market.
Collaborate cross-functionally to build ERM’s global business and lead client and technical teams; provide services related to site remediation, EHS compliance, management systems, outsourcing, and integration support.
Meet business financial targets, manage project budgets and schedules, ensure client satisfaction and alignment with internal and contractual requirements.
Qualifications / Requirements
BS in engineering, environmental or other science, or related discipline; professional registration preferred.
15+ years’ progressive experience in an EHS and Sustainability consulting environment, working at a high level with corporate, financial, and legal clients; preferably in energy, chemical, mining, power, or manufacturing sectors.
Deep understanding of the M&A industry in the US and existing relationships with private equity deal teams, corporate executives, attorneys and investment bankers.
Strong business acumen to understand risk and opportunities; proven track record in delivering multimillion-dollar sales results annually.
Well-versed in EHS and Sustainability risks and opportunities as they relate to transaction agreements; experience estimating costs of EHS and Sustainability issues/liabilities.
Recognized technical expertise and an established reputation in the local market.
Compensation and Benefits For the Partner, Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory (Director Level) position, the anticipated annual base pay is $150,000 – $165,000 (USD). Compensation within this range will depend on education, qualifications, experience, location, performance, travel, and business needs. Bonus eligibility may apply where applicable. A comprehensive benefits package includes paid time off, parental leave, medical/dental/vision insurance, life and disability coverage, 401(k) or RRSP/DPSP, and additional benefits as eligible.
