Maintenance Director Employer:
Folkston Park Care and Rehab Folkston Park Care and Rehab is hiring a Maintenance Director to work at the facility providing both short term rehabilitation and long-term care. Responsibilities
Maintain the facility and property, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping duties, and duties necessary to provide residents with a quality move-in experience. Respond to resident requests in a timely and professional manner. Apply knowledge of maintenance functions such as plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, general carpentry, painting, sheetrock, etc. Perform scheduled maintenance using the TELs program. Be knowledgeable of state, local, and federal regulations related to Nursing Homes. Attend and participate in required training programs; lead in-services and training for staff (MSDS, OSHA rules, safety programs). Run an effective safety program, including monthly safety meetings. Participate in meetings (Morning Meetings and QAPI). Perform duties in a timely manner and deliver superior customer service; represent the company professionally. Maintain and safeguard all company tools and equipment. Perform other related duties as required; ensure residence and grounds are in good repair and provide a safe, attractive environment for residents. Carry out established preventative maintenance program; conduct regular rounds to identify repair needs; check daily for repair requests; respond promptly to repair or maintenance concerns from residents, family members and staff. Assist with setup and cleanup for special events. Ensure all systems (e.g., alarm and fire systems) are tested per state, local, and federal guidelines. Secure subcontractors as needed and oversee their performance. Qualifications / Educational Requirements
Minimum of one year general maintenance experience. Understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Desire to work with older adults. Basic knowledge in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, groundskeeping, commercial appliance repair, multi-meter use, standard practices, and a variety of hand and power tools used in maintenance and repair of building facilities.
