Are you passionate about scaling secure, cloud-native systems? As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer at Safety National, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring our Azure cloud environments and applications are built for resilience, observability, and security. In this hands-on role, you will collaborate closely with Platform Engineering and application development teams to implement best practices in CI/CD automation, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and secure software delivery. You\'ll drive the adoption of service reliability metrics, coach teams on security-first engineering, and contribute directly to architecture reviews and incident postmortems. Education:
A bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Required Qualifications: Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview. 10 or more years of experience in Information Technology 5 or more years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Expertise in building and securing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions Strong proficiency with Terraform for secure, repeatable IaC deployments Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, especially monitoring and security tools such as Application Insights, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Defender for Cloud Experience with observability platforms like Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, or ELK/EFK Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Go Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or AKS Deep understanding of secure software delivery including secrets management, compliance automation, and artifact validation Strong communication and collaboration skills to coach development teams and influence architectural decisions Preferred Qualifications: Experience with microservices architectures and distributed systems Familiarity with incident management platforms such as PagerDuty or ServiceNow Exposure to chaos engineering or reliability testing practices Experience with GitOps tooling (e.g., ArgoCD) for declarative deployments Protect
