The Salvation Army (TSA) Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no-fee program to assist men and women in their journey to complete our rehabilitation program. FACILITY MANAGEMENT

Ensure proper maintenance of grounds and buildings; schedule needed repairs and other maintenance within guidelines provided by the Administrator for Program. Provide routine supervision of residence desk (where applicable), canteen, laundry, and janitorial staff, including training in canteen and laundry operations, phone procedures, customer relations for reception, and safety requirements for cleaning supplies. Supervise inside and outside workers for special projects or repairs. Order needed supplies for proper operation of the residence. BENEFICIARY SUPERVISION

Provide orientation of new beneficiaries and communicate all program and residence requirements. Assign rooms/beds including private rooms in accordance with set procedures. Conduct random locker checks as required by review standards, but not less than once per month. Monitor, facilitate, and supervise beneficiary activities including prescription medications, house meetings and devotions, and updating Personal Property Statements. Provide short-term crisis counseling. Provide recreational programming for residents and participate in all residence activities, maintaining open relationships with all beneficiaries. Supervise and/or administer Breathalyzer testing when requested by Program staff or when beneficiaries return to the residence. Oversee urine test specimen collection; ensure proper security procedures, labeling, and transport. Act as a role model for beneficiaries as a resident of the ARC and as an individual in recovery. Prepare and submit ARCC-210 forms in accordance with current policies as required. Make security rounds each evening before retiring. Ensure fire drills in the residence are conducted and documented on a regular basis (minimum 2 times annually). Maintain good order and discipline in accordance with ARCC policies. Discharge, when appropriate, those beneficiaries whose behavior warrants such a consequence. Help coordinate special events at the facility in cooperation with the Administrator for Program (e.g., holiday events, retreats, intern dinners). Drive a Salvation Army passenger van as part of regular duties; this may include transporting beneficiaries to/from Work Therapy Units, outside meetings, Chapel, and other appointments. Maintain necessary records and statistics as directed. Coordinate vacation time with Administrator for Program to ensure coverage for all functions. Know ARC Safety Regulations and ensure staff and beneficiaries follow these requirements. Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and laws to help maintain program integrity. Overtime requires prior written approval of the Administrator for Program. Other duties as assigned by the Administrator for Program. Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent (GED). Program graduate with continuing involvement in a program of recovery is preferred, but not required. Ability to supervise beneficiaries as demonstrated by experience, training, and/or interview. Possess a valid Driver’s License for state of employment with acceptable driving record; (California employees must have a Class B with passenger endorsement within 45 days). Integrity, resourcefulness, initiative, and evidence of self-improvement. Ability to support and apply the philosophy and goals of The Salvation Army ARC Program as stated in the Mission Statement. If chemically dependent, shall be free of and have had at least one year free of any chemical abuse or dependency. Pay Rate

$16.50 per hour Schedule

Work schedules are determined by Management; employee must be flexible to ensure adequate coverage. Full-time employees may be scheduled to work any shift including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
