Cleaver-Brooks, a leading manufacturer in the boiler and heating industry, is seeking a Product Design Engineer specializing in Heat Pumps to join our team in Milwaukee, WI. Relocation assistance is provided if needed. The ideal candidate will design and develop efficient and innovative heat pump systems, contributing to sustainable and energy‑efficient solutions. Key Responsibilities

Design and develop heat pump systems with emphasis on efficiency, sustainability, and compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance) to ensure seamless integration of new designs. Conduct and oversee simulations and analyses for heat pump performance, optimizing for energy efficiency and reliability. Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications using CAD software. Stay abreast of advancements in heat pump technology and incorporate innovative features into product designs. Manage projects from concept through production, ensuring on‑time and within‑budget delivery. Provide technical support to sales and customer service teams for client queries and challenges. Conduct rigorous testing and validation to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Collaborate with suppliers to source high‑quality components and materials for heat pump systems. Document all phases of the design process and maintain accurate records for reference and compliance. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a focus on thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, or HVAC systems. Proven experience in the design and development of heat pumps or related HVAC equipment. In‑depth knowledge of refrigerants and refrigeration cycles. Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools. Strong understanding of heat pump technology, components, materials, and manufacturing processes. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations. Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead projects from conception to completion. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; effective written and verbal communication for collaboration across levels. Commitment to sustainability and eco‑friendly design principles.
