VHB has an opening for an Environmental Scientist to join our Site Investigation and Remediation practice. Responsibilities
Support with Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation Projects
Write technical reports, correspondence, notes, and memoranda
Provide hands-on support during field exploration and testing
Interpret and communicate investigation findings
Leverage technology to support data management and visualization
Participate in environmental due diligence activities
Skills and Attributes
Work in field and office settings
Effectively communicate complex topics with colleagues and clients
Ability to problem solve and work independently
Experience with ASTM Site Assessments, Brownfield Investigations, and Remediation in accordance with Connecticut Remediation Standard Regulations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field (Master’s a plus).
1-3 years of professional environmental/remediation consulting experience
OSHA 40 hr. HAZWOPER certification and annual refresher certifications required after 30 days of employment
Our best estimate of the salary range for this position located in Connecticut is $70,000-73,000. This offer is determined based on a number of job-related factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities and geographic location.
