The Multiples Program Nurse Will Be Responsible For

Providing care and support for our multiples patients in the maternal fetal medicine clinic at BWH Main Campus in the Department of Ambulatory OBGYN

Triaging phone calls and patient gateway messages of Obstetric patients — must be able to work autonomously

Working collaboratively with attending physicians, physician assistants, social work, medical and practice assistants to meet needs of our multiples patients

Administration of IM, SC and PO medications as ordered and per protocol

Interpretation and follow-up routine prenatal labs and genetic testing per protocol

Educating patients on various obstetrical and lactation topics

Coordinating and managing group prenatal and postpartum classes

Updating and tracking clinical progress of multiples patients

Remaining flexible in meeting changing needs of clinic assignment and workflows

Must be a team player, multi-tasker, hardworking, reliable, trustworthy, and empathetic

Working collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment

Qualifications Education:

Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required for external candidates and newly licensed nurses.

Experience

A minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience is required.

Clinical nursing experience in OBGYN is required.

Experience in MFM and with high-risk obstetric patients is required.

Proficiency in electronic fetal monitoring is required.

Clinical nursing experience in an ambulatory clinic/practice setting is required.

MFM Ultrasonography experience is preferred.

Bilingual - English/Spanish fluency is preferred.

Other

Membership in professional organizations is recommended and certification in a specialty area is preferred.

Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract.
