Overview
Verizon is seeking a highly motivated sales professional to deliver innovative business solutions that support technology evolution and change how businesses connect. You will hunt and grow accounts, consult with customers to identify business challenges, and recommend tailored solutions to drive a strong return for customers and revenue for Verizon. This position supports a wireless sales territory and requires travel within the Frederick, Mount Airy, Manchester MD area; it is a hybrid role and must be within a commutable distance for in-person meetings and site visits. What you’ll be doing
Identify, develop and qualify leads within the territory to drive additional sales opportunities through cold-calling, partner-selling, lead-generation campaigns and modern social selling techniques. Gain new business and incremental revenue to meet sales targets. Retain, manage and grow the existing customer base. Coordinate with support partners to educate and excite customers about innovative business solutions. Proactively establish, build and maintain relationships with key decision makers. Present and create multi-product opportunities. Demonstrate an understanding of wireless and mobility products and integrated software solutions including Cloud, Security, ISP, VoIP and Google platforms. Track and report progress using sales force automation tools. Earn a competitive base salary plus target-based commissions; compensation varies by geography and experience. Top performers can exceed compensation plans through commissions and incentives. This position will support a wireless sales territory requiring travel within the Frederick, Mount Airy, Manchester MD area. The role is hybrid and must be within commuting distance for in-person meetings. This role may be considered as part of the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program. What you’ll need to be successful
You’re a self-motivated person who thrives on crafting solutions to client problems. You excel at explaining how complex technology solves business challenges in simple terms, and you enjoy cold-calling and meeting new people to discover needs. You seek to win and take the initiative to close deals while helping others around you, and you act with integrity. You’ll need to have: Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience. Four or more years of relevant experience (outside sales, prospecting and negotiation). Willingness to travel up to ~50% within the assigned territory. Valid driver’s license. Even better if you have: Associates or Bachelor’s degree or relevant certifications. Two or more years of business-to-business or outside sales experience, including prospecting/cold calling. Technology sales and experience with SaaS, CRM (e.g., Salesforce) or similar tools; social media experience. Strong presentation skills in both face-to-face and virtual settings. Experience building and maintaining relationships with all levels of client organizations. Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed, entrepreneurial environment and manage time effectively.
