Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR masters degree with 4+ years of relevant experience. Additional four (4) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelors degree. This position requires the candidate possess a minimum of Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request- contract requires TS/SCI with poly. The candidate must maintain the clearance. 2+ years of experience with Java 1+ years of experience in working with microservices and containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes Experience with backend frameworks, such as Spring Framework or Spring Boot Experience with API development, including REST architectural style Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 certification, including Security+ or CISSP, within 6 months of start date Desired Qualifications
Experience with network security, including access and authorization for PKI and chain trusting Experience with writing unit tests and E2E testing Knowledge of Apache NiFi and Kafka Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Git, and GitLab Ability to investigate root causes and provide corrective actions TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph DoD 8570 certification, including Security+ or CISSP Benefits

As part of this team you will work with emerging service and distributed computing technologies for satellite situational awareness (SSA) data processing and distribution. The EMMETT program, a next gen Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Indications and Warning (I&W) system, establishes a repository of resident space objects (RSOs), finds RSOs of interest, and provides data to ground operators. The EMMETT team uses: programmatics, sensor modeling, and system engineering expertise to deliver this world-class SDA I&W system. Responsibilities
Provide TS/SCI Java software development of modules. Some of these techniques include but are not limited to event-driven or state-driven programming, error logging, and exception handling. Perform TS/SCI software analysis, architecture, engineering, and integration services at the unit, module, and system levels. Perform all aspects of software engineering support required to implement systems. Adhere to open standards and modern software development methodologies, including what is considered ‘best’ practices by Industry to the extent that operational requirements will allow. Provide technical reports, white papers and other documentation as required to documents findings of all software engineering service activities.
