Position Title: Postdoctoral Researcher Position Type: Post-Doctoral Research Fellow Application Review Begins: Friday, October 10, 2025 Application Deadline: Saturday, November 15, 2025 Institution: Loyola University Chicago Department/Division: Biology Field (e.g., systematics): Plant Genetics, Plant-microbe interactions City: Chicago, IL, USA General Information: This position is part of a NSF funded project to understand the genetics and evolution of plant-microbiome associations in the model legume Medicago. This work involves GWAS and functional genomics experiments involving bacterial and fungal microbiome associations. There are opportunities for the postdoc to travel to conferences and to gain teaching experience. Salary follows the NIH pay rate schedule. Qualifications/Requirements: PhD with experience in plant evolution, genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, or plant-microbe interactions. Responsibilities: Conducting GWAS experiments, bioinformatic and statistical analysis of amplicon sequencing and GWAS data, mentoring undergraduates, preparing manuscripts.
