Warehouse Associate Job at Summit Employment in Tulsa

Local packing company is seeking to hire some warehouse associates. Must have a strong attention to detail and forklift experience.

Shift and compensation

1st Shift: Mon – Fri 7a – 3:30p. Some days could be as early as 5a but not often. $15.50

2nd shift M-F 3pm-12am. Ideally the candidate for this 2nd shift opening will move into a leadership role, but they will need to prove they are leadership material before that can happen. $16/hr

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling the day-to-day warehouse operations efficiently and effectively.

Duties

• Perform various warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of products
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and order pickers to move materials
• Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat
• Follow all company guidelines regarding warehouse operations and safety regulations
• Building and assembling crates

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred
• Proficiency in order picking, forklift operation, materials handling, and stock management
• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines related to warehouse operations
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Must know how to read a tape measure
