Overview

Outpatient Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) seeks Administrative Support/Medical Biller. This is a full-time position with a shared floating schedule between Chula Vista CTC and San Diego CTC locations. Location & Schedule

Locations: Chula Vista, CA and San Diego, CA. Full-time hours with a floating schedule between sites: Monday - Friday: 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM Saturday: 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM (Occasional) Must be able to split time between Chula Vista CTC and San Diego CTC locations. Responsibilities

Establish, maintain and retrieve general files for clinic or department. Manage and coordinate administrative programs or office activities. Use computer software to create spreadsheets, manage databases, and prepare presentations, reports, and documents. Answer telephones, take messages or transfer calls. Schedule appointments and update calendars. Assist in arranging staff meetings, handle incoming/outgoing mail and faxes, prepare memos, invoices, or other reports. Maintain databases and filing systems, whether electronic or paper. Perform basic bookkeeping as needed. Work with patients to secure billing information, reconciling billing reports and verifying insurance for patients. Perform duties using medical terminology and clinic procedures. Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required. 2+ years of experience in medical billing and coding; experience in mental health or addiction treatment clinics is advantageous. Knowledge of administrative processes and systems (word processing, spreadsheets, managing files, patient records). Knowledgeable in handling insurance claims (Medicare, Medicaid, private insurers); ability to address claim denials and appeals. Attention to accurate coding and data entry to ensure proper reimbursement. Ability to resolve billing issues, including coding errors, disputed claims, and underpayments. Strong communication with patients, providers, and insurance companies to clarify billing issues. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and discretion with confidential information. Ability to manage multiple tasks, track patient records, and meet deadlines. Ideal Skills & Traits

Patient advocacy to assist MAT patients with insurance and financial matters. Familiarity with MAT protocols and billing procedures for opioid treatment services. Technology savvy with EHR systems and healthcare technologies. Comfortable working in an opioid treatment program (OTP) recovery environment. Benefits
