Principal Engineer / Subject Matter Expert – Heavy Industrial (Metals) Vertical Market Jedson Engineering is an Engineering Consultancy headquartered in Cincinnati, OH, with offices across the United States. We provide full-service engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCm) services to industrial process manufacturers in pulp & paper, chemical, consumer products, food & beverage, heavy industrial, life sciences, power, and pulp & paper vertical markets. We are in a significant growth mode. What You’ll Be Doing
You will bring extensive experience to work on heavy industrial projects specializing in the metals sector on projects ranging from small facility modifications to complex EPC contracts. Some travel will be required to make sales visits and meet with clients at project and construction sites. Participate in business development to provide advice and solutions to the client’s problems Assist in development of engineering scope of work and services proposals Manage multi-discipline engineering teams responsible for scope, schedule and budget Participate in the planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating detailed phases of engineering projects Direct preparation of drawings and specific type of equipment and materials to be used, in construction and equipment installation Develop construction work packages and contractor scope of work documents Inspects completed installations for conformance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards Provide on-site start up support Your Ideal Background

Strong communication skills, collaboration and courage to challenge the status quo are cornerstones of the Jedson Edge. 10+ years of experience with experience in consulting engineering, construction industry and/or operations with strong focus on the heavy industrial metals sector, including: Technical expertise in Metals – proven understanding or expertise of metallurgy, process technologies and industry standards. Process Technology Experience / Expertise – Smelting, Casting, Rolling, Heat Treat, Blast Furnaces, EAFs, Specialty Alloys, Finishing Experience with Innovation – Green steel, Repeatability, Advanced Alloys Technology Manufacturer and OEM Relationships Comfortable working with integrated designs on large capital projects involving mechanical, chemical, civil, and electrical disciplines Well organized with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and operate within budgets and work directly with client engineers, maintenance teams and construction contractors Capability with CAD systems including AutoCAD is preferred but not required PE license or EIT certificate with ability to obtain PE license is preferred but not required Seniority level
