The Ground Solutions and Mission Support (GSMS) Software Integrated Project Team (IPT) is a large restricted group executing across Development and Operations and Maintenance tasks. The SW Engineering IPT focuses on the development and sustainment of several mission operational software product lines, as well as the development of new capabilities coordinated with their restricted SCI Customer. The SW IPT is a large team comprising multiple subsystems, each with a specialized software focus. We are looking for an energetic and passionate software engineer to join our team as we work to provide innovative solutions to complex issues in support of our Customer’s national security mission in the areas of Ground Enterprise Modernization and Transition Discrepancy Reports (DRs). This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below. This position is located in Redondo Beach, CA, and includes potential travel opportunities. Basic Qualifications
Associate Software Engineer: 0 Years with Bachelors in Science; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree Software Engineer: 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree Active SSBI required at the time of application, and the ability to obtain SCI prior to start Advanced Object-Oriented programming skills and proficiency with C++ programming Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system Preferred Qualifications
DevSecOps Test Automation experience Experience with programming/scripting languages: C, C++, Java, Python, Perl Strong in math and algorithms Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of employees, management, and stakeholders Previous participation on an Agile scrum team or familiarity with the Agile process Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo) Experience developing in a Linux environment using git Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills Active TS/SCI security clearance Compensation and Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range: $74,000.00 - $111,000.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and to allow employees to share in company results. Senior positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
