Senior Human Resources Generalist – Employee Relations

to join our People & Culture team supporting our multi-shift production facility in San Antonio. This site is home to approximately 1,000 employees and produces Class 6–8 Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Electric Vehicles (EV). As a key HR partner on the plant floor, you’ll play a vital role in fostering a positive work environment, driving employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position perfect for a proactive HR professional who thrives in a lean manufacturing setting. Work Schedule:

This position supports a production environment that operates Mon – Thurs (5:30AM – 4:00PM) with flexibility to support overtime and production recovery days as needed. Responsibilities

Employee Relations & Investigations Conduct fair, thorough, and timely workplace investigations aligned with legal standards and internal policies. Maintain detailed documentation, reports, and secure records. Advise managers on consistent application of HR policies including performance management, corrective actions, compensation, and attendance. Partner with plant leadership to resolve employee relations matters and maintain a positive work culture. Leave of Absence Administration Administer FMLA, STD, ADA, and other state/federal leave programs with accuracy and confidentiality. Ensure timely communication with employees and managers throughout the leave process. ADA Accommodation Process Lead the interactive process for ADA accommodations, ensuring compliance with legal and internal standards. Collaborate with employees and supervisors to identify and implement reasonable accommodations. HR Business Partnering Be a visible, trusted partner to production employees, team leads, and supervisors on the plant floor. Support recruitment efforts, onboarding, and hiring events in collaboration with Talent Acquisition. Maintain and analyze HR metrics, headcount reporting, and recommend process improvements. Deliver HR-related training to build leadership capability across shifts. Talent Development Support succession planning and participate in talent reviews. Contribute to leadership development initiatives and workforce readiness planning. Culture & Engagement Champion employee engagement through site programs, recognition efforts, and committee leadership. Drive community involvement through partnerships with local organizations and events. Compliance & Continuous Improvement Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations (EEOC, OFCCP, ADA, FMLA, HIPAA, etc.). Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR practices. Participate in and lead HR projects that support continuous improvement. Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree At least 8 years of human resources or labor experience At least 1 year of lead experience OR Master’s degree At least 6 years of human resources or labor experience At least 1 year of lead experience OR At least 10 years of human resources or labor experience At least 1 year of lead experience Additional Requirements

6+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience; manufacturing or production environment preferred. 5+ years of direct experience conducting employee relations investigations with proven ability to deliver fair outcomes. Strong working knowledge of FMLA, ADA accommodations, and leave management. Demonstrated ability to work independently with sound judgment and discretion. Experience with leadership coaching, employee development, and succession planning (SuccessFactors experience preferred). Proficient in HRIS platforms including SAP, SuccessFactors, iCIMS, and timekeeping systems. Strong technical skills in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams). Bachelor’s degree preferred. Professional HR certifications a plus (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP). Benefits and Compensation
