Overview CMM Inspector. Afternoons - Flexible on start and finish times (earlier finish on Fridays). Northampton. £28 - £30 per hour (Inside IR35).

EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a CMM Inspector to join a precision engineering company located in Northampton, on a 6 month contracting basis.

Our client is a market leading precision engineering and advanced manufacturing business that specialises in machining complex, medium sized components for highly regulated industries including Motorsport, F1 and Automotive.

Note: Due to the markets we serve, all candidates must be UK residents. DBS checks will be required. We cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect products: Conduct thorough manual, CMM and scanning inspections of products and materials at various stages of production to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Document findings: Accurately document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarising re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality databases.

Identify defects: Identify and report any defects or non-conformities in products, materials, or processes, and provide feedback to the right department.

Collaborate with teams: Work closely with production and engineering teams to discuss inspection results and improve product quality.

Maintain equipment: Ensure all inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.

Essential Requirements

Strong Quality Inspection or CMM Inspection experience

Ability to perform dimensional inspection using various hand held manual measuring equipment such as Verniers, Calipers, Micrometers, Depth and Height Gauges, Shadowgraphs, etc.

Ability to operate and run CMMs

Understanding of PCDMIS is essential

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and thorough work

Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently and effectively

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Previous experience of inspecting complex machined components, ideally within aerospace, motorsport, nuclear, oil & gas or medical sectors
